ModDB Mod of the Year Awards
Well, it is that time of the year again. And our old friends over at ModDB are running their annual Mod of the Year competition once again. The initial cull is over and they are down to the Top 100 mods. We are impressed to see 2 Red Orchestra mods on the Top 100 for the "Best Upcoming Mods & Indie Games of 2007" award - Darkest Hour AND Mare Nostrum made the cut. Really nice job, guys! Now, for those that are too young to remember, Red Orchestra won the ModDB "Mod of the Year" way back in the day - and look where it got us! So - we actively encourage everyone to go and vote over at ModDB. Click on the logo at the top, or HERE to vote!

Art of War Central is now offering 50 player Red Orchestra servers. If you’ve played on the Tripwire developer, TWB “Old Glory”, or After-Hourz “Meatgrinder” 50 player servers then you know these powerful servers from Art of War Central have the muscle to run 50 players with a smooth ping and no CPU overloading. We highly recommend checking them out if your gaming group or clan are considering upgrading to a 50 player server. While it is not listed on the website yet, they have also just added a data center in Europe as well. More information can be found here. Discuss this article in the Forum! -

Carpathian Crosses media update!
Following on from our own updates, we are happy to see that the Mod teams are weighing in too. The next update comes from the Carpathian Crosses team, currently working hard to bring us all the Romanians, along with some nice early-war armor and a few neat, innovative new features. They have a full update over on their website (click HERE or on the banner above), but we have a few tasters for the Red Orchestra front page. For your viewing pleasure, we have the German-built MP28 SMG, rendered and ingame, plus the Panzer 38(t) and a real mood shot of one of their maps - Dofinovka. For more info, more pictures and more words (not to mention at least one more new cool weapon), go take a look at their website. Right now - the screenshots for you:
