Carpathian Crosses media update!

Following on from our own updates, we are happy to see that the Mod teams are weighing in too. The next update comes from the Carpathian Crosses team, currently working hard to bring us all the Romanians, along with some nice early-war armor and a few neat, innovative new features.

They have a full update over on their website (click HERE or on the banner above), but we have a few tasters for the Red Orchestra front page. For your viewing pleasure, we have the German-built MP28 SMG, rendered and ingame, plus the Panzer 38(t) and a real mood shot of one of their maps - Dofinovka. Mappers: the "how-to" document on Bloom is available.

For all those mappers who want to know how to make use of the new Bloom technology, we have produced a guide document for you. To pick up a copy, click on "Downloads" then "Manuals" and there it is. MS-Word document, total size just under 3Mb. Enjoy!

RO: Ladder Signing up teams for Nations Cup 2007

For those who have not yet noticed, the RO:Ladder team are warming up the 2007 Nations Cup. If you are interested in joining in and representing your nation in a good old RO war, then head over to their website for the details, as well as look through the forums here. At the last count there were a total of 19 nations lining up. The deadline is just one week away now - 14 Sep 2007. So follow the call to the colors! Click HERE on or the banner above for more info.

Hotfix: melee exploit - video card issue - Polish language

We have just released a hotifx that covers 3 items:

1. We have removed an exploit that allowed people to fire while sprinting after performing a melee attack
2. A crashing issue being reported on pre-DX9 graphics cards has been fixed, where some older cards were causing the game to crash when launched
3. The Polish language text files have been brought into line with the latest update

To be sure of picking up the hotfix, please exit Steam and restart it. That should be all you need to do and the update should be small!

Summer Update Released Today!

Another Free Trial Period!

As the very alert will have noticed quickly, the Summer Update was released today, at lunchtime here on the East Coast. You may also have noticed that we are running another Free Trial Period from today (Wed 29 August) through the weekend, ending on Monday. Once again this means that you can get friends and family to try the full game for free, courtesy of Steam. It should be a busy few days on the servers!

Enjoy our new map - Krivoi Rog. We think it will convert a lot of people to tanking, with the new look to the game from the graphics enhancements and the huge engagement ranges.
